An Oasis course reflecting on the Bible, the church and community
On Saturday February 9th, Oasis and St Paul’s church will hold a one day course reflecting on how the church can impact the community for good.
Through study of the gospel of Matthew, the course will look at practical ways of breaking down barriers between our Sunday experience and our daily lives at home, work and in education.
The course will look at how we can live out the Way of Jesus in our community, helping with;
Reducing anger in ourselves and our community
Reducing stress and anxiety in ourselves and our community
The challenge of how to be a good employee at work, while upholding the ethical standards of the gospel.
What it means to be a “good neighbour” in our context.
Based around Biblical reflection, stimulating discussion and interesting exercises, the day will also include lunch cooked by Oasis beneficiaries and all participants will receive a coursework book.
The day is aimed at people over the age of 16 and costs €25 per head, including lunch, refreshments and a course book.
