    An Oasis course reflecting on the Bible, the church and community

    On Saturday February 9th, Oasis and St Paul’s church will hold a one day course reflecting on how the church can impact the community for good.

    The course will look at how we can live out the Way of Jesus in our community, helping with;

       Reducing anger in ourselves and our community

       Reducing stress and anxiety in ourselves and our community

       The challenge of how to be a good employee at work, while upholding the ethical standards of the gospel.

       What it means to be a “good neighbour” in our context.

    Based around Biblical reflection, stimulating discussion and interesting exercises, the day will also include lunch cooked by Oasis beneficiaries and all participants will receive a coursework book.

Gillian Wilton (previously Assistant Chaplain at St Paul’s Tervuren, now based in Sheffield, UK) will lead us in looking at our longing to experience God, inviting him into our time together, worshipping him, exploring scripture and breathing in his life-giving Spirit. At the close of the retreat, we will prepare to go out using the breath he gives us, to praise him in the world.

    Places are limited so please register as soon as possible. Places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Open to women over 18.
